A word from the editors

This is a special edition of our newsletter, which has been prepared specifically in time for the SIOP conference in Montreal.

It will - of course - be distributed to all members and interested groups around the world who are on our regular mailing list. But it shall also be given to everybody at the conference who is interested in parent groups and their work. We would like to encourage everybody to contact us and get more information about ICCCPO (International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations). During the conference you may want to take part in our workshops or sit in one of the lectures. We would like to hear your comments and are prepared to answer your questions. We would be very pleased if you would take this newsletter with you to your hospital in your hometown and show it to parents there. If they are interested in forming a parent group, please tell them to contact us. Most likely we can set up contacts with groups in neighboring countries or with those speaking the same language. If you want to receive our brochure, the by-laws or a membership application form, please contact the secretariat (address on this page).

The next newsletter will reflect much of this year's parents meeting at the SIOP conference. Let us know by fax, e-mail or letter whether you want to be added to the mailing list.
